He was a chief medic in that infantry unit. When I was young, he was the most popular among kids from that garrison. He was always smiling and treating kids with great care. The way he does shots are outstanding. It was like magic. That was my young age
That unit's operation area is mostly Carmine, Mansi, Pharkant etc , those areas. A lot of soldiers were from Chin mountains.
I lived with my family, other unit members families in that garrison in the military town along with one HQ company while every body else went to front line operations areas 6-9 months / year, it depends
We have a military hospital in MeikHtila, one great captain that I knew, his name was Captain Kaung
There were a lot of distinct stories with that unit and with that town. However, here this point, the main reason I write this narrative is to pay tribute to my chilhood hero Sayar Aye Thaung. Sayar Aye Thaung was killed in action sometime in 1970s. His body was never been recovered
I miss him, I would like to see him again on this 27th, March 2017
