GEN Ziaur was the 7^th President of Bangladesh. He wore Rayban sunglasses all time. That was his trademark

The reason I always wanted to write about him is that I met him upclose on U Wisara Road in one day in late May, 1981 just days before he was assassinated. On that day, he was on his way to King Mogul Tomb in Yangon to pay his respects. I was walking on Uwisara Road one fabulous evening about 5pm. He had his chauffeur driving his Mercedes 320 and he was riding at back seat. That’s it. No bodyguards or no entourage behind his car like these days. He was wearing his sunglasses as usual. That was just days before he was assassinated. Few days later, he went back to Bangladesh after his official visit to Myanmar. He was assassinated in Chittagong, Bangladesh by gunmen on May31, 1981

His wife Khalida succeeded his position by election. Now Khalida and Junior Ziaur are in trouble by Bangladesh Government’s lawsuits
