Las Vegas Shooting and Lawsuits Consequences

STEVE WYNN

CEO of Wynn Resorts which owns the Mirage, Treasure Island, Mandalay Bay, Wynn Vegas quits. The very first fabulous “Mirage” was sold to MGM in 2000. Mirage was opened in 1990s. I always like Steve just for naming the hotel “Mandalay Bay” in early 2000s.
On October 4, 2017, the 64 years old gunman opened fire on an open-air music festival from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino on Vegas Strip. At least 59 people were killed in the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history. A further estimated 600 were injured
The largest of the lawsuits was filed on behalf of 450 people who either were injured in or witnessed the shooting, while the other four were brought by families of people who were killed or severely injured. The victims accused the hotel operator MGM Resorts International and its subsidiary Mandalay Corp, which owns the hotel plus event organizer “Live Nation”, and the estate of gunman of failing to implement security measures
