Pterocarpus macrocarpus. Pterocarpus macrocarpus, or the Burma padauk, is a tree native to the seasonal tropical forests of southeastern Asia: in Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam.

It is highly considered as one of the national symbols of Myanmar
